One of Korea's fastest-growing chemical companies, Dongbu Hannong Chemical has been synonymous with agrochemicals since we introduced the first domestic agrochemicals in 1953 and compound fertilizers in 1967. This reputation has continued to grow over the years with the addition of seeds in 1981 and veterinary pharmaceuticals in 1986. But agrochemicals were just the beginning.

As Dongbu Hannong Chemical guided Korea's agrochemical industry into new territory, we were also progressively advancing into neighboring fields. This synergetic diversification led us into fine chemicals in 1977 with agrochemical technicals and petrochemicals in 1978 with styrene monomer. Today, we're a leader in numerous product categories, including agrochemicals, nitric acid and phosphoric acid, supplying about or above 30 percent of domestic demand in each one.

Looking toward the future, we're now building on this accumulated knowledge and expertise as we advance into new, value-added businesses such as biotechnology and the cutting edge materials, positioning Dongbu Hannong Chemical to become an international player in the chemical sector in the years to come.
